Welcome to the Help section of DecisionHealth’s Private Duty Insider Solutions Center! We’ve put together a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) designed to help you navigate this site. If you are unable to find the answers you need, please send a note using the “Contact the PDI editors” link at the bottom, right-hand corner of the page (under Communities).

Q: Why can I access some sections of this site and not others?

A: Access to the Private Duty Insider Solutions Center is divided into two sections – one for non-subscribers and one for subscribers. Only subscribers are able to access all the features of this site including full online editions of the Private Duty Insider newsletter and key features such as the benchmarks, marketing solutions and legal/HR stories. Non-subscribers can view the first paragraph of an article but not the full article.

Q: Where do I find the latest issue of Private Duty Insider?

A: Subscribers can access the latest issue of the monthly newsletter by hovering over the “Private Duty Insider” menu at the top of the home page and then clicking “Current Issue.”

Q: How do I access older Private Duty Insider articles?

A: Hover on the “Private Duty Insider” tab along the top menu bar and then choose “Archive” from the items in the drop-down menu. You also may search all Private Duty Insider articles by typing a word or phrase into the “Advanced Search” field in the upper, right-hand corner of the home page.

Q: What are the PDI Tools?

A: These are exclusive tools you can download and use at your agency. Examples include caregiver competency tests, H.R. policies, client welcome package materials, sample marketing materials and more. They are a benefit of your subscription to the Private Duty Insider newsletter. There latest tools are featured on the home page under the “Tools” header. To view more, click on the links below the “Tools” header.

Q: What are Bookmarks? How do I save or Bookmark something on the website?

A: Bookmarks are articles, new stories, tools or content of any kind on the Private Duty Insider Solutions Center website that you choose to mark for future reference. On the lower, right-hand corner of articles you will see a gray, star-shaped outline. Clicking this shape turns it to gold and indicates that you have stored this piece of content as one of your Bookmarks. You can view the Bookmarks you have stored at any time by clicking the gold text link that reads “My Bookmarks” on your user account box on the right-hand side of the home page. If you wish to remove a Bookmark, simply go to your Bookmarks on the user account box and click on the yellow start next to the content you wish to remove.

Q: How do I sign up for the free Ezine?

A: Go to the “Free Resources” section of the home page and click on “Sign up for our free Ezine” to get the latest private duty news and information emailed to you twice a month.

Q: How can I get results to a previous private duty poll?

A: Just click on the results link at the bottom of the poll to view previous results.

Q: How do I use the Job Board?

A: The Private Duty Insider Solutions Center job board offers both job seekers and employers a place to search for jobs and hunt for qualified candidates for open positions. Employers can post open job positions on this site or access the resumes of qualified caregivers and other home care professionals looking for work. Access featured jobs in the bottom left-hand corner of the home page or by hovering over the “Community” menu at the top of the page and clicking on “Jobs.”

Q: Where can I find a list of other helpful resources?

A: Click on the yellow “Resources” tab on the home page and scroll down to “Helpful Links” for a list of links related to employment, fraud and abuse, labor issues, payors and regulations.

Q: How do I find out if my state has a special licensing requirement for private duty home care?

A: Click on the yellow “State Laws” tab at the top of the home page and then click on your state in the map.
